Vanguards
Asari
Strategy: Use the Power Synergy evolution of Biotic Charge with the damage upgrades from Lift Grenade to blow up entire groups of enemies. Then clean up with your shotgun.
Tip: You should typically only charge into groups of three or less (the number of targets staggered by Biotic Charge). If there are more enemies, throwing two grenades instead is often safer and just as effective. |
Krogan
Strategy: First, use Biotic Charge and melee enemies to get your Krogan angry. Then use the Reegar Carbine to remove shielding, if necessary, or continue your melee assault while waiting for Biotic Charge to come back up and fully replenish your massive amount of shields.
Ex-Cerberus
Strategy: Smash, smash, and then smash some more. For tougher enemies you can even smash through walls. Oh yeah! Just watch out when banshees start to teleport around.
N7 Slayer
Strategy: Like the Ex-Cerberus vanguard, use Biotic Slash through walls to weaken or outright kill enemies from complete safety. You can then use Phase Disruptor and Biotic Charge to rapidly finish everything off.
Variations: You can also replace Commando Package gear with the Geth Scanner. In addition to letting you see through walls, it has about the same range as Biotic Slash.
Volus
Strategy: Biotic Charge. Shoot. Repeat. Biotic Orbs are only used to reduce your power recharge time. Similarly, Biotic Charge should be used to replenish your shields under most circumstances, but Shield Boost is also provided as a backup in case you cannot charge a sync-kill capable enemy (or to help teammates during objective waves).

Turian Cabal
Strategy: For most shielded enemies, a hit with the Acolyte (plus the Incendiary Ammo effect) followed up with a Poison Strike will trigger a fire explosion, and be enough to kill them. Lesser enemies can just be killed by a regular melee. For groups of enemies, start off with your Nightshade Blades to stagger them, followed up by weapon damage and Biotic Focus as necessary. The blades should then explode and stagger lesser enemies again, allowing you to finish them off.
Variations: For those that like the safety of ranged damage, use the Cerberus Harrier and N7 Hurricane. You should also use Grenade Capacity gear with Armor-Piercing ammo instead. Finally, switch out of the melee damage evolutions, and shift points from Venom Gauntlets and Poison Strike into Headshots and Weapon Damage. |
