Engineers
Quarian
Strategy: Use Cryo Blast to weaken enemies and set them up for a combo with your Incinerate ability. Don't forget to deploy your Sentry Turret as well. It is much more capable than the Combat Drones used by human engineers.
Salarian
Strategy: Great in doorways and invaluable on device objective waves, Decoy is a great tool to keep you safe while you drain shields and set up tech combos.
Geth
Strategy: With Hunter Mode making you quite vulnerable, always have your turret nearby, ready for a quick recharge. You will also want to keep a relatively safe distance, and the Geth Plasma Shotgun allows you to utilize your additional Geth weapon damage bonus while being accurate enough to hit distant targets when charged.
Variations: Switching to a lightweight sniper rifle like the N7 Valiant and using Operative Package gear is also possible, and works quite well on larger maps. |
N7 Demolisher
Strategy: Throw Arc Grenades to remove shielding and then follow up with Homing Grenades to remove armor. Since you also have a portable ammo box, feel free to use the ammo guzzling Cerberus Harrier as well.
Talon Mercenary
Strategy: Prior to each wave, place up to three Cain Trip Mines in doorways and other confined areas that enemies are likely to cross. Your Acolyte can then strip shielding while you use your heavy melee to fire all your arrows into an enemy.
Variations: If you prefer to be more proactive about blowing up spawn points with Cain Trip Mines, you can take one or more Grenade Capacity evolutions of Armor-Piercing Arrows. This can be risky on higher difficulties however, as the Talon Mercenary is not very durable, so switching to health and shield evolutions of Omni-Bow Mastery or switching to other weapons may be required. |
